This policy explains how personal information is collected and used when you call the number on our website, email us or use our website at https://www.emergencytrades4.me. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, please get in touch.

1. Who we are

Emergency Trades 4 Me (“ET4M”) is a trading name run by James White, trading as EmergencyTrades4Me. ET4M is not VAT registered. Its address is Rose Cottage, SY13 2EH.

ET4M is a marketing and introduction service for UK-wide 24-hour emergency plumbing, heating, gas and electrical call-outs. It advertises these services and routes calls to our partner Trades on Demand. All calls to 0800 368 5105 are passed automatically to, and handled by, Trades on Demand. ET4M does not answer calls itself. Trades on Demand collects the call information and booking details under its own privacy policy, books jobs and takes payment. The work itself is done by an independent, subcontracted engineer. ET4M does not carry out the work.

All calls to 0800 368 5105 are passed automatically to, and handled by, Trades on Demand. It answers the call, books the job and takes payment. Trades on Demand is a separate, independent controller for the calls and bookings it handles, and uses your information as described in its own privacy policy: https://www.tradesondemand.co.uk/privacy-policy/. Subcontracted engineers

To carry out your job, your name, phone number, the address and the details of the problem are passed to the independent tradesperson who will attend. Trades on Demand passes these details on. ET4M does not pass your details to engineers itself. The engineer is a separate business, not an employee of ET4M or Trades on Demand. They use your information to contact you, attend and carry out the work. They may also have to keep their own records by law, for example gas safety records. Where they do this, the engineer is responsible for that information as a separate controller.
